How is forehead/brow lift surgery performed ?

Where is surgery performed ?

Your facial surgery will be performed with sedation and local anesthesia in the office setting.

Your surgery is usually performed as an outpatient in the office setting. Your will need to have a close friend or family member drive you to an from your surgery and care for you for the first 24 to 48 hours after surgery.

What is recovery like ?

You will experience bruising and swelling for the first 7 to 10 days after surgery. Cold compress and elevation of your head on two to three pillows will help minimize swelling. You may fell numbness and itching as part of the healing process, but this will soon resolve. Normally, we remove your bandages in 1-3 days. Most patients recover very well within 2 weeks.

When can I return to work ?

While healing time varies, most people are comfortable returning to work within 7 to 10 days. We advise patients to avoid sun exposure and strenuous activities for several weeks. We will closely follow your progress to ensure that you are ready to resume normal activities.
